Artist Residency for Local Savannah LGBTQIA+ Artists

We are excited to announce an open call for an artist residency specifically for local LGBTQIA+ artists. This residency aims to provide a creative space, resources, and community support for LGBTQIA+ individuals who are seeking to explore, develop, and share their artistic practice. Whether you're a visual artist, performer, writer, or any other form of creative expression, we welcome all forms of art that reflect diverse experiences within the LGBTQIA+ community. Please note that this is for LGBTQIA+ artists ONLY, there will be other opportunities for allies.
What We Offer:
Studio Space/Workspace: Dedicated studio 9 - space for the artist to create for 3 months (April, May, June)
Financial Stipend: $100 artist gift card to Starlandia to support the artist’s work during the residency period
Public Exposure: An opportunity to showcase the work produced during the residency in a final exhibition, performance, or presentation in Gallery C during the month of June
Community Engagement: Participate in the events at Cedar House and get exposure during First Fridays and other gallery openings and exhibits
Digital Marketing: 3 dedicated posts on Cedar House Gallery Instagram account plus stories and tags, and marketing on Website.

AFTER PAYING: Please submit the following three materials via Email CedarHouseGallerySav@gmail.com to apply:
Artist Statement (max 500 words): Describe your artistic practice, your connection to the LGBTQIA+ community, and what you hope to accomplish during this residency.
Portfolio (max 10 images, videos, or writing samples): Examples of your recent work that best represent your practice.
Proposal (max 500 words): Describe the project you wish to develop during the residency period. What are your goals? What do you hope to create or explore?
